The aesthetic pictures were taken before the Olympic Games at a photo shoot in Vienna. Niemann had decided in favour of the Playboy appearance with her mother's blessing and thus gave herself the best present just in time for her 30th birthday this Thursday.
She gave herself the best present of all on her 30th birthday today, Thursday: "It's a great souvenir that will last forever."
A souvenir in medal form, however, is becoming increasingly unlikely for her. After three of at least ten races (without a medal race), her individual placings of 20-20-19 put her in 24th place out of a total of 28 starters.
